Very much enjoyed Pat and his accessibility to the fans. He wrote with balance and integrity and I always respected him for that. Hate to see him go. Evansville basketball has lost some good writers over the years. I feel confident Chad will do a great job for the Aces as well.
Maybe there is a more difficult league to predict than the MVC, I don't know. However, it will surprise me if we finish worse than 9-9, and if we get on a run, ala last year's Bradley team, we could do very, very well. I believe the star system is more for the fans than the coaches. There are great programs that have 2 star players who were superb. I think coachs look at a players ability to play their system.
He LOOKS like he can play. But Capel said he didn’t rebound, and that could be an issue. Rebounding is the one stat that transfers to all levels. Additionally, that is the one skill we will ready need this year. Essentially, if Peace rebounds well, he will play, if not, his minutes will be limited....
