Re: Shea Feehan - 2018 Grad Transfer Candidate (6'0" PG)

I hope you enjoy your island, because nobody shares your thoughts on this player, I think what the coaches and most on this forum see is a few things. 1. He only has one year. 2. He is a shooter, never heard anybody say he was the next coming of John Stockton. 3.Our new coaching staff has several y...

Watch the video, then examine the facts within the 3 games which are highlighted: 17 pts. v. Loyola (2nd game of season; notice - 2 assists): https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/bo ... la-il.html 24 pts. v. North Texas (season opener; notice - 0 assists): https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/bo .....

Re: Scheduling

I think 16-15 is acceptable, maybe 17 home games some years. If you go more than that, you end up with too many SWAC schools or Midway or Longwood. I've never understood why some would like to see fewer home games for the same season ticket price. But I do realize that it would make sense to a dist...

Re: Scheduling

This is certainly the type of schedule we have been begging for. A couple of strong games, mixed in with solid, regional programs. At this point, I agree, it wouldn't hurt to add a smaller program or two. We still need to get a few home games. I think 16-15 is acceptable, maybe 17 home games some y...

Re: Shea Feehan - 2018 Grad Transfer Candidate (6'0" PG)

...and you don't think that there are better "battle tested" Div. I GRADUATE transfers on the market? I get it that UE doesn't offer many grad programs and that that is a limitation. But aren't you just blowing smoke? I doubt that you've spent a second researching what grad degrees are on...

Re: Recruiting

It has occurred to me that we didn’t need to hire Coach McCarty or any of his assistants. We have more than enough here on this forum that know more about coaching, more about player personnel and more about recruiting than anyone on staff. Give it a rest and let them do their job. What would you s...

Re: Recruiting

Coach McCarty inherited 6 players he didn't recruit for his system, lost the two best returning players, apparently lost the two November signees and entered the recruiting game a year later than every MVC team that hasn't had a recent coaching change AND, in spite of all of that, he is expected to ...

Re: 6'10" Javon White - Oral Roberts (2 yrs. left) 10ppg/10 reb

First of all, not all Div I transfers are "disgruntled." If you approach recruiting like this, you're in for a shock. People change & mature significantly after 2-3 yrs., resetting goals. The NCAA, in recognition of his factor, have loosened their TRANSFER rules over the yrs., thus al...

Re: Former Reitz star commits to Missouri

So Marty and his wife are all over Twitter publicly expressing their jubilation for both Ryan and Dru. Considering this is the extent of what they have done publicly, there really isn't any defense. To me, it shows they put themselves over the program. Have they mentioned where 4-year starter Blake...

Re: 6'10" Javon White - Oral Roberts (2 yrs. left) 10ppg/10 reb

You're correct...the media was wrong. Five (5) yrs. to get four (4) yrs. of p/t, although in selected cases (medical RS), a 6th season has been allowed. Not sure if White's situation warrants such consideration, but also can't figure WHY they'd be "marketing" him for 2 more yrs. of eligib...
