Re: Game Thread: Aces At Loyola

Let me allow for this, for the more immature. Being tired of reading page after page about how Simmons did this or wrecked this doesn't make me a Simmons fan, but in light of the current social media construct, if you aren't one, you automatically are the other. I just think there's no more interest...

Re: Game Thread: Aces At Loyola

It is a crying shame that Marty Hill lost a year of eligibility due to malficence on part of the former coach. 30 seconds should not cost a year of eligibility especially when lhe offending coach is no longer with the program. If this was a star player at a big name school an exception would be mad...

Re: Game Thread: Northern Iowa at Evansvile

Anyone who believes that a scholarship is a four year contract, raise your hand. However you might feel, a scholarship is yearly renewable for the player. A coach can choose to not “offer” it again to a player that currently plays on a team. The classic “run off.” Some players leave by choice. Some...

Re: Officiating in general

No I'm not an official. But I believe in general officials do a good job.Their is a lot of pressure to make every call correct. And my old saying is.If you think you can do better, grab a whistle,a striped shirt, and put your shoes on and start officiating The problem is, we see the results of game man...

Re: How about some prognostication?

Valley info says currently the rankings, bottom up for the PIG:
10 UE vs, 7 IL State
9 Ind State vs 8 Valpo

That's not much to go on.

I am learning to hate these 'quote the comment' features because it creates some kind of washboard ... so I will hope this addresses the transfer conversation. I suppose it it's all about playing time, then a kid who just wants to play may consider dropping down to D-2, which is likely where he belo...

Re: Officiating in general

I've seen far too many games where one team finds itself with 6 fouls about 8 minutes into the half and the other team has ... um ... one. Not to worry, they just haven't gotten around to evening it out ... so somewhere down toward the 2=minute mark, a couple of guys will pick up a cheap one or two ...
