It was posted on Twitter and Jake LaRavia scored 54 points. I don’t know about the rest of the followers here but I kind of like anyone who can score that many points in a game. His team won 129-100 and Jake had 10 threes.

I posted before, would love to have him, I really like his game! Plus at 6’7” it gives us another guy w/size who can play!
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

That’s impressive. I’ve coached in that league before, actually won the MIB Championship a couple of years ago.
It’s essentially pick up, but the kids are coached, there are timeouts, refs, subs, etc just like a real game. It’s not exactly like a HS game (no scouting reports, no real offensive sets) but all the players are going to start for their HS teams, and there are plenty of Future College players in that group.
I think we all can understand now why someone a little under the radar was offered.

I would bet he has a higher ceiling than Will Becker.

Certainly I would believe Will's status will be addressed by Coach McCarty on the radio show tonight. I am largely under the impression he is headed back home. It is a disappointment, if true. I do think Jake LaRavia will make us all forget him if he signs with the Aces.

I hope Will stays and we sign Jake. Aren't they completely different types of players? Isn't Becker slotted to play the 4 spot while LaRavia would be a 3? We need length and athleticism at all spots on the floor....

Update.
He had 140pts in 3 games.

Not bad.

Simply judging by game film, their style looks more similar than different. The biggest difference I see in the highlights is Jake seems to handle the ball better and quicker to the basket.

Maybe we'll hear something. But probably not more than "Will's knees are a problem for him and he is going to be out at least several weeks while Will and his doctors consider treatments."

Maybe that's just 11 years of Marty "Well, yeah Lance, it's tough" Simmons shows coming through to me. But I don't expect Walter will be substantially different in this regard than Marty or pretty much any other coach.
