This guy would do crazy things with a green light in our offense. Wow.

Read an article and it says he was attending Bellarmine out of high school on a scholly and went to two classes and orientation and left and decided college wasn't for him. But his love for basketball brought him back and he ended up at a JUCO, cool little story. Bellarmine is also the number one team in DII so that is as good as a scholly anyone can get at that level.

Coach McCarty basketball is all about scoring when you have the ball. This kid knows how to score. Small town kid and a small school might be the right mix for him.

If McCarty likes him, I like him.

Sinclair is a DII Juco. His numbers are certainly impressive, but his competition level certainly isn't great.

He looks good on youtube, but we have Noah, Newton, Sam, and Art for next year. On the other hand, we don't have enough bigs. Yes, Hall and DeAndre should be really good, but Evan is not a 4 or 5, but a tall 3, and he isn't a force for any significant inside play. I just hope we are fortunate to get a 6-8, 6-9 guy who can rebound, be capable of working inside, and run a bit. Of course, Walt knows best, this is just MHO.

Interesting that a bunch of schools have 12-15 offers out for 2019, with only 2-4 schollys avail. Walter employs a different strategy, which is just fine. Mid-majors who find a rare big they can bring in under the radar will only reveal offers at their own peril. Hopefully, Walt has one or two up his sleeve.

I will have to trust Coach on McCarty on this particular recruit. I am also thinking If Tristen wants to come play for Evansville he may have to decide sooner than later.

I haven't seen Juco ball in years but when I did follow it, the players and teams that excelled had disciplined programs and coaches who knew the difference between chucking and thinking.

I can fairly well wager he won't score 34 points a game in a D1 environment.

But you can't coach quickness or leaping ability. If this kid has that, he's a potential.

Raw tools against a whole team full of players who can do the same thing .. that's what a recruiter/coach have to consider.

U of E would prosper if they get a couple of 6-7 leapers who can hit the 3-ball and get put-backs. Defense is not optional.

I once thought they needed a tree inside but the offense they run doesn't seem to need it. Who knows about 3-4 years ahead.
