Michael Moreno vs. Kyle Rode (Scott Co. vs. LCA)

Postby Ace78 » Thu Dec 27, 2018 11:36 pm

I wanted to check out a game involving Michael Moreno, so I found a recent game between #1 Scott County at #9 Lexington Christian. Moreno is an incredible talent, as you can see from this game. Kyle Rode is guarding him. Sure would be awesome to have Michael join the Aces next year! He has a load of offers, including one from UE.

Take Moreno and Dixon from Walters St./Nashville and don't look back. They both fit our needs very well. Moreno is a mobile PF, but he is more than that. At 6-6 he may initially be viewed as somewhat short for this position in D1, but he plays bigger than 6-6.

Moreno will make a very good Mid Major power forward at 6-6 with his body size. I can’t imagine how strong he will get under a D-1 weight program. He’s got a sweet long range jumper much like Taylor last year.

I’m not sure how he fits at a P-5 school. He lacks the quickness, jumping ability and size for most programs. In this game he doesn’t seem to be a rebounder and doesn’t use his size to intimidate inside.

I do think he would be a very nice player in McCarty’s program and would be a strong player in the Valley.

That's really bad news. I certainly hope he recovers quickly and has the opportunity to finish his senior year on a good note. From what I have read, he is a phenomenal kid .. great student, down to earth, ambitious, encourages younger kids in his community.
