National secret on a player returning. When will UE say something official? This is a joke on the administration’s part. And one of my biggest complaints.

It was in this morning's C&P that Dru participated in non-contact practice this week and also on Pat Hickey's tweet last night about the article. Joe Downs posted an hour ago a video at the shoot around that Dru was a game time decision. Just who are you expecting to say something?

Dru is such a difference maker. He turns the ball over probably more than the coaches like, but he also makes things happen better than anyone else on the team.
If given the reins of the offense, he could be the Aces' all time assists leader before he graduates.
I'm not going to change my pick in the prediction thread, that's on me for picking a day early.
But with Dru in the lineup, I am expecting a closer game than the 12 point Ramblers win I predicted, and UE may even pull off the surprise if he is able to stay on the floor for much of the game.

The C&P article said he was half way through a 4 week recovery. Doesn't sound like he should be playing today. I guess we will see. Some people heal faster than others.

When I was in Evansville I had heard from a reliable source that he might be able to play on the 30th at Loyola. However, the CourierPress article last night said that he had "30 minutes of non-contact practice Wednesday". I'm hoping that he has had some contact practice before he is thrown into a game situation. Also hoping as AceCard mentioned that they are not rushing him back. Have to trust the coaching staff, Dru and the training staff on this one, as always. :)

From the CourierPress:
Smith making progress: The 6-3 sophomore went for 30 minutes of non-contact practice Wednesday and checked out OK on Thursday. It is only midway into an estimated four-week recovery since being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot. Prior to the injury, Smith was averaging 12.4 ppg and 5.5 apg.

While it's good to Hainna practice it isn't good to see him barely able to walk Looks like he'll be out all year if he is that far out of condition.
It's a good time to be an Aces fan
