Attendance was 4,295. I think our largest of the year?

With home games against Indiana St and Valpo both being Wednesday nights, the schedule didn’t so us any favors.

We may not crack 5,000 once this year. That is not good.

Great game yesterday for the Aces. More accurately a truly dominate first half and just enough to hang on for a win.

That is my biggest takeaway. The players made big plays and big shots when we needed them. Blake made a 3 early in the 2nd half to stop a mini-run. Ryan made a basket right out of the under 4 when it was 66-62, and Dru made a ‘you had to see it to believe it’ scoop shot to close out the shot clock.

20 turnovers - many of them live ball turnovers. Not getting the ball past half court and/or bad passes that led to easy baskets almost cost us.

Need to continue building momentum towards St. Louis to win 4 games in 4 days.

I disagree that the better team lost, and I would take our players over drakes all day.

I noticed a difference in character of the players. Players complaining about the calls throwing their hands up in the air, a lot of whining to the refs. When I felt the calls were ultimately going their way. Our players showed better character and resolve, and a lot less whining.
Drake knew pressing us would get them back in the game, we have to get better at breaking the press .
Take into account the number of players we have had in street clothes, we had to add a mid season walk on to help fill out practices. I'm very proud of this group of Aces.

Pretty impressed in what I saw in Noah yesterday, without looking at a box score. He's strong, crafty, good body control, and within range as soon as he steps off the bus. He played with composure, didn't get the wide-eyed, rattled look when they threw the heavy press on us.

He does need to work on his defense, but he still gets more than what he gives up.

Drake is better right now because they have more experience with a better coach but when the lights hit and its game time you throw all that out the window and both teams lace it up we made more team plays out rebounded them buy 8 0r 9 and got to the free throw line more so even though drake may be the better team right now we were the better team yesterday and gave some of our legends a win to remember I am going to remain positive for this season and cut this negativity out go Aces!

I completely agree....was so sad and disheartening to see the clips during halftime of crowds during the 70s, 80s and 90s and seeing how the crowds of today act.
Just my opinion...I could be wrong!

The sad thing is that to a large extent, it is correctable, even some of it without a coaching change. I for one thought yesterday was a decent crowd day..but you can't retire jerseys at every home game.
