No loss there...losing Dru, Hall and Noah is devastating. Nothing that can be done though..it’s all part of it. Sad
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

Hold the course. What is funny is everyone wants to jump without even knowing who the new coach is.

Well, I would certainly want to know who the new coach will be before making that kind of decision. I don't know what is going on anywhere anymore.

It certainly looks like whomever we recruit will get plenty of playing time. Might have to go with some walk-ons from the baseball team.

Just because a player asks for a release doesn't guarantee that they will leave. It seems it's a standard operating procedure to ask for it, begin the process in case they feel they don't feel they fit in with the new coaching staff.

Another thing to consider is that these kids are 18-22 years old and have a deep, personal relationship with the coaching staff. Coach was loyal to them, bringing them here and I'm sure that it's not easy to take to lose your coach that way. We've all made decisions based on emotions at some point in our lives, much less as a college aged kid.

I don't want to see anyone leave but hopefully those that are asking for a release will give the new staff a chance and stick it out.

Par for the course - players do this in case they do not fit the new coach’s system/recommended to look elsewhere or if they want an option to follow a coach.

Some of these guys will either lose a year of D1 eligibility if they transfer to D1, be forced to go Juco, or drop to D2/NAIA to preserve their eligibility

It's a bloodbath on Walnut St. tonight.

I wonder if Missouri St is seeing the same thing
