EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville athletic department will be hosting a "Town Hall" exclusively for 2017-18 men's basketball season ticket holders as a thank you to our most loyal fans. The free event will take place inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Thursday, June 21 from 6:00PM-7:30PM.

Season ticket holders from last season may also bring 2 non-season ticket holder guests who are interested in getting on board and learning more about the program.

Those in attendance will hear from head men's basketball coach Walter McCarty, his coaching staff and UE administration on their vision for the program and some of the new initiatives being planned. There will be the opportunity for pictures and autographs with Coach McCarty at the end of the event.

Anyone who places a season ticket deposit or renews their season tickets by 12 p.m. CT on June 21 before the start of the town hall will be entered to win one of 14 great prizes. Since June 21 coincides with the NBA Draft, we will announce the prize during the Town Hall with a "draft-style" show that will also be streamed via Facebook Live. Season ticket holder renewals were sent out by the UE ticket office earlier this week.

Please RSVP by emailing Scott Peace at sp166@evansville.edu, walk-ups are also welcome.

The prizes are as follows:

1. Lunch with Coach McCarty
2. 2 Tickets to the Road Game vs. Xavier

The roster was announced tonight, everything was expected except Hurley was not there. Would assume he isn’t coming as he wasn’t announced, wasn’t at event, and wasn’t in the offficial announcement.

Overall, it was a fun event. Coach McCarty has a very good personality and you can tell both him and the players are enjoying what they are doing. It sounds like they are making good progress. They talked a lot about playing at a faster pace and getting more shots up. He called out Kuhlman and Frederking saying they have the green light to shoot anytime and can’t pass up shots, haha.

They also announced a new fundraising group...the Aces Assist club. Sounded like a good plan.

There were some other things but nothing too ground breaking. Got to talk to a few players, they are all pretty excited.

Exciting times ahead!
