Walter McCarty announces first signing class at UE
Re: Walter McCarty announces first signing class at UE
Who do you think will start at PG?
Re: Walter McCarty announces first signing class at UE
Personally, I'm thinking KJ.
However, I don't think "starting five", will be all that important under Coach McCarty.
I believe all positions could be played by committee, with several rotations including multiple parts.
go aces
I'm on board!

Riley would be my pick especially if he has developed his outside shot, and like what i have seen of Shamar Givance, Riley proved he was a great defender and could draw fouls.

He's been working on jump shooting during the off season. See the videos posted on Lucious Wagner's FB page, May 22 and 30.

Also, a June 10 ball handling video. It looks like KJ he really stepped up his game this summer.

KJ looks to be serious about taking his game to the next level.
Going for full beast mode.

I cringed when KJ was at PG. Maybe it was the offensive scheme but he seemed awfully tentative. Maybe with some "freedom" he can be a good one.

I didn’t . I just wanted him to be able to play it like he did against AustinPeay. It was like they rode him to victory and it worked so well that we just couldn’t Let that happen again.
I was looking for him to get turned loose again, every game after that.

I did too...honestly I did a lot of cringing about our PG play over the years. Every one of them was too concerned about checking off the boxes of the offense instead of just playing the game and taking what the defense was giving. Hopefully, most of that had to do with what was coming from the bench. Glad to see Riley working on a jump shot though...that will make him a much better player if he can become confident enough in it to take it under pressure.
Givance is the key PG to me...because he's a true PG. I do think Riley will be forced to play there some, hopefully under McCarty he'll be a lot more comfortable there.

I think Shea Feehan will handle the point. Maybe our best ball handler already and his ability to take it to the rim and also hit the three makes him the best choice.
