With the number of Freshmen, and new players, and new system we have this year it is fantasy to think that we will beat Illinois. Yes, we will be a much better team to watch, and may very well beat some teams we wouldn't figure to beat, but doubt it will be the first two games of the year. Hickey opined that we may very well be up scale, and play very exciting basketball, but it could also lead to 20 turn overs until we get the confidence, and expertise that will be required.

I don't think the game is televised except on BTN+. It is strictly subscription service. $10 a month or$80 a year

Does anyone know if the preseason game against Craig Snow’s team is televised? Or is it only on the radio?

No TV is showing on the gopurpleaces.com website for that game.

I suppose playing Illinois is an upgrade over Buxtahooda State but playing it in early November doesn't make me want to get all giddy about the upgrade to the schedule that I thought everyone was advocating.

Even if we lose to Illinois and Xavier our strength of schedule and our power index will be higher than if we beat two low division 1 schools or a division 2 School

What a difference a month or two makes. If DeAndre was suiting up, we'd be looking at U of I and X with a more optimistic eye, and I'm glad were playing them, regardless. It's important to get into the rhythm of playing a challenging schedule. It let's recruits know we are pointing toward better times, and we're playing teams that make sense, an old rival and a reasonably close Big10 team. Just as an idea, maybe there's a local saloon that would subscribe to the appropriate paid services so fans could see some of the away games en masse. Maybe an establishment already has plans to do so?

Seriously, does it have to be December before you get giddy?

In the season tix box, it mentioned that Doc's Sports Bar on Stringtown/Govermor. they advertised "Catch all the Aces Away games on TV @Doc's",where you get your shots. Stringtown divides into 2 one way street@Maxwell . South of there on the left is Doc's.
