If you want to play fast, you better have some talent or this is what happens. Maybe McCarty will get guys that are capable of playing that style, but this team will get boat raced in a lot of games trying to play fast.

We're really not ready for the MVC yet

I didn't realize this was an MVC game.

+1

You have to believe in the process. We knew it was going to be ugly the first two games - just not this ugly.

This shouldn't be a surprise at all. Walt needs to get more athletes even if it means forcing a couple kids to transfer

Somewhat surprised, but not by a lot......There wasn't too much talent left from last year's team, especially since the 2 best returnee's decided to jump ship.....

I'm Still Overjoyed That The Simmons Era Is OVER.

I'm not going to get too discouraged by this game. It's a damned shame that we had to play a team like this in the first game of the season. We'll get stomped again on Saturday, but then we will start playing teams that we have a fighting chance against. If you remember, last year we played fairly well after the Duke game. We will have to hit our threes, and play better defense than we did tonight, and I think we will.

We have 3 great athletes sitting out this year and will be getting 4 great athletes thru the recruiting process. Add them to Riley, Givance, Newton, and Hall and we’ll be a lot more athletic next year. Kuhlman and Frederking will be really challenged to get minutes unless they really improve this year....

And those are the two I'm talking about
