Ever the multi-tasker, I can celebrate the new look Aces and let Bitter Marty "live in my head rent free." As for chapters that are over, I also let Arad McCutchan, Walters, Watson, Crews and Merfeld live in my head rent free. I would charge rent because I need the money but I don't know how. Business is business. I will agree that a discussion of Blake Simmons wearing a Clemson jersey is silly. Blake may have had walk-on basketball ability but in the arena of what matters he is an outstanding young man who continues to do volunteer work and is proud of his father. No one will argue that they have less than a strong and loyal family. I wish him well and I sincerely hope that his father can elevate himself in the way that Jim Crews did after being dismissed in spite of having an Aces coaching career with double or better the success of Marty Simmons. To be fair, one day Walter McCarty will move on and I have already made rent-free space for him in my head, the cellar if he fails and a room with a view if he succeeds.

Not bitter, I hate the Cubs just as much in all of the years the Cards do make the postseason.

That’s fair - I have equal hatred of the Redturds every day of my life. At least we all like the Aces! LOL

The Cubs are done, but I’m glad it was Kyle Freeland that eliminated them. I couldn’t stand watching the Cubs pathetic offense anymore, so it’s mercifully over.

Go Rockies - knock off the Brewers!

The Rockies win 2-1 in 13 innings.
Freeland gave up 0 runs and 4 hits while striking out 6 in 6 2/3 innings.
That was only on 82 pitches.
Thursday the Rockies take on the Brewers at 4:07 pm CST.

Growing up, when I was first able to comprehend what letters were, I instantly became a CUBS & BEARS fan.
Not because of geography, but because both teams wore a "C" on their hat or helmet.
I just knew, when I was wearing my blue cap, the big "C" stood for Couteau.

I'm still a Bears fan.

However, while I was living in St Louis..... I discovered it to be somewhat difficult to be a Cubbies fan while residing in Soulard, so......during a decade there, I converted....
Still believe there's nothing really better than a Cards/Cubs weekend series.
Whether its on Chicago's Northside or in downtown St Louis.

The Reds came late to the party, for me.
The.Big Red Machine, was a hated nemesis and found most of their fans (during their years of dominance) to be a tad obnoxious.
