Or an article by Pat Hickey? I'm sure there'll be someone there that can provide a little insight. If the armed guards at the door let them in. HAHA.
Mostly I'd like to hear what the ACES camp has to say about the scrimmage, not learn about it thru a Belmont twitter.

Jon Rothstein has tweeted about several of the scrimmages across the country. Tweeted about several mid majors so I'm going to see if he'll get about ours. They've mostly been about leaving scorers and rebounders; also about who may have sat out.

Couldn't find anything on twitter about our game, but did see that Jacksonville State absolutely crushed Alabama. I get that it is an exhibition, and for a P5, Alabama isn't all that great, but we do play Jacksonville State in Dec, and they are coached by Ray Harper.

On a side note, Belmont doesn't even appear to have a message board.

I wasn't allowed to attend so there won't be a write-up, and UE won't be talking about it ... but from what I heard, it was described as pretty even throughout. Belmont's best player did not play very well. That's all I've got.

If I am correct, Belmont picked to finish first in the OVC this year.

They bet a barrel of the winning team's favorite beer!

Seriously, I think the walk-ons benefit the most from these games because it's their only real chance to show anything that they don't already recognize.

I doubt that the walk-ons played. If the game is not played with the full intent of seeing exactly how you will stack up against serious competition there is no reason not to play an exhibition game against a D3 school instead and sell tickets.

Would much rather we had won by 3, but we have no idea who played in the game. Did the walk on's play? Did DC play? Did any of the transfer's play? It was probably good to play someone other than yourself, but really can't take anything away from it without knowing who we put on the floor. This game Saturday will tell us more about what to expect this year. I only hope that we can at least be competitive in most of our games.
