Looks like the Mountain West has signed a contract to play the A-10 teams in a challenge

No surprise here. With the MVC refusing to expand, the MW was ultimately looking for someone that would include all of their teams every year. Welcome to the continued decline of the MVC, as I am sure a couple of other schools may be looking for a way out.

Who do you think are looking for a way out?

Honestly, if reports of MoSt. wanting to move up to FBS in football is true, and happens, they would jump easy. Anyone paying attention to Carbondale and the SIU situation can see that that whole system is in trouble. And with the next wave of “realignment” getting ready to happen, I could see a couple of potential “targets” being wooed away. I have my suspicions, but I’ll leave it there for now.

8th ranked league coming off a Final Four run. The conference sure is declining.

Upgrading from Missouri St to Murray St would really put the dagger in the league.

I don't know if the decline of the Valley is a bad thing, or if it even matters. The programs at that level will seek refuge and find it. Likely as not, there will be hybrid conferences.
