Looking right at him.

Any one else see the Butler influence in the offense?

I didn't see Art either. Wasn't sitting with Sam and Deandre.

Anyway, go Aces!

New Mexico Highlands rebounding by height:

Height Player Rebounds
-------- -------- ------------
6-7 N. Okoro 11
6-4 G.Davis 7
6-3 R. Mitchell 5
6-6 J. Jones 5
6-2 D. Carpenter 4
6-7 M. Cunningham 3
7-3 P. Boloz 2

So three of their top five rebounders were 6-4 or shorter. Okoro at 6-7 had 11 boards and that definitely hurt them.

Not sure why D.C. is sitting out the first few games but yes they will get slaughtered on the boards their first two games. After that it will most likely be bad but slightly better. Need to rebound by committee but hard to do when you are off and running and trying to get back on transition defense.

So if D.C. Is truly out for the first few games that means our tallest two guys are Kuhlman and Hall (6-8 and 6-7).

That also means that Evansville would be playing with only 8 scholarship players. Can anyone confirm that DC will miss the first three regular season games and why?

Two things that we all kind of knew would be problems, rebounding and PG play against pressure. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised. Great balanced attack on offense. Noah coming in made a big impact, he really played well, I thought. Won’t get into much more than that, glad to get the first win. I do think they were nervous/ tight to start out being the first game and everything.

We’ll see how it goes...like a lot of keep saying be patient, this year will have a lot of rough spots but you could see a lot of bright spots today to build on.
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

So who was the third guy in purple warmups then ? I thought it was him but he had shaved .
I could be mistaken bad eyesight and all.
There was three of them at end of bench the entire game.

It was Devan Straub. He may not be eligible until the 2nd semester.

Walk on Devan Straub. I don't think he's eligible until spring semester. He was a mid year transfer.

Jevin seemed to confirm this in the post-game show, at least for the Illinois game
