AT Toledo, too. Ball St. Is going to have a decent year. I questioned why we played a home and home against them in one year, but the series was a good measuring stick. In fact, given the time we had, the pre-con sked was structured to provide really good experience for our club. Almost all the opponents were the kind of competition we needed to prepare for the MVC.

If anyone is paying attention, Valpo is destroying MSU 46-24 at halftime.

Don't feel bad E-Villan, I'm right there with you. Going into MVC play, I thought Valpo was the worst team in the league, and in their first two games, was most "confident" in their oppents to win, going for 5 points with the Dirty Birds, and then the Bears.
Now, they hit a fluke shot in their first game, so just chalk that up to luck. But then on Saturday, they put a whipping on MSU, so guess the Crusaders are better than previously thought, the others not as good, or a little of both.

I watched a good Marquette team bury Xavier 70-52 a bit ago. Another poor game by Xavier who sits at 9-7. I predict they do not make the tournament this year.

I am so glad we have Walter and his staff than Travis Steele and whatever staff he would have brought in. I just feel like Walter is more connected in the recruiting arena, has a good connection with the local coaches and community and appreciates coaching at Evansville so much more than Steele would have. I feel we have some great assistant coaches as well that bring experience and a sense of calm to the games and real professionalism.

We are on the right track, we just have to be patient with this year's team. I really see some great things ahead starting with next season.

Go Aces !

Has anybody taken notice of the SHOX? They're 7-7 overall and 0-2 in the AAC. From the looks of their schedule they could go 0-6 before winning a game in conf..

Every school has to do what they feel is best, but things change in 5 years. WSU thought they could step up, and at least short term, it has not been wildly successful. Coach M was supposedly courted by some P5's, and now he looks really overpaid in the eyes of some Shock fans. D1 basketball is not for the faint of heart.
