Season Ticket Renewals

Postby Tom Servo » Thu May 09, 2019 10:54 am

Last year UE did a great job of starting the season ticket renewal process early and they were very successful. If anyone from UE is reading this I would strongly recommend starting the renewal process as soon as possible so they continue to build on the strong foundation that was built last year...the longer they wait the more they slip back into the old ways which were extremely ineffective. Need to keep moving in a positive direction. There is a lot of excitement to build up here and I think we really need to capitalize on it. Also hope they continue the cheaper ticket on the end zone idea because it did really help the atmosphere.
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

Very foolish move if true....can't do that before success. It's one thing to do it after becoming a consistent winner. Can't do it before they prove something. Big mistake....

I have receive an email from the Athletic department about the renewal. I took advantage of the 4 seats for $400 last season. The price increase to $175. per seat without the need to by 4. I'll reduce the number of seats to 2. Still a reasonable buy If you enjoy basketball. I could get tickets for less but I prefer the seats I had and hopefully there will be a shortage of seats in 2019-20 season

Actually the season tickets I bought were an Special $100x4 ticket and the were in special areas in the Ford Center. It was a special for the university hundred years anniversary. I said Last season "I wonder what these seats will cost next year" to my family and friends who went to the games with me. $175. is less than the normal season tickets of $ 245 according to the email I received and only available to those who bought the 4x $400

In the grand scheme of things, ticket prices going up after a 21-loss season (assuming it to be true) tells me that UE is certain that a purple rocket is about to lift off. They know this roster better than any of us do and I like the implications.

If my memory is correct. When we were averaging close to 10,000 in the 90`s ticket
prices soared.

I personally am ok paying a higher ticket price so long as the quality on the court matches (both team play and opponents) what I pay for. I won’t pay to see Grambling. I will pay to see some decent midmajors.
TIME TO GET IT RIGHT
