After the string of beat downs by UE I don't think USI is interested anymore. They do play tough opponents in exhibition games but better to lose 500 miles away than across town where it will be remembered. But I do hope they find the nerve and schedule the game.

Received season ticket info in today's mail. USI exhibition game will be Oct 28. Still a TBD for Nov 5.

So, let me get this straight. The ath. Dept has mailed out season ticket info, and USI IS SHOWN AS AN EXHIB. GAME, but has there been an article in the newspaper, on TV, or on the UE website?

Not yet. Based on the dwindling attendance of this game over the years it doesn't have the allure of that first one. USI couldn't beat mediocre UE teams. I doubt this will be much of a game. I'd rather see Craig Snow's team.

I would think that if this the first time we get to see the Aces team we think is going to be pretty good this year, it should be a pretty good crowd. USI always has a competitive team, and the Aces could schedule a lot worse. I would like to see us win the game by 40, but I bet that doesn't happen.

Regarding the 11/29 game vs IUPUI, has anyone released the reason it's being played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse? Glad to see the team have an opportunity to play in an NBA arena. I'm not sure what the rent is at Bankers Life but I don't envision a lot of tickets sold for this game. 11/29 (Friday, day after Thanksgiving) is listed as an open date on the Bankers Life Fieldhouse website. The last time UE played at IUPUI in 11/2013, IUPUI still played home games at "The Jungle" on campus. The arena had a capacity of 1,215 which was about half the number of seats USI's PAC Arena had. The box score on UE's website lists the game attendance at 1,215 (sellout). Now IUPUI plays at the larger Indiana Famers Coliseum with a capacity of 6,800. I have searched the other Indiana mid-major teams online to see if they are playing at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on 11/29, maybe as part of a Crossroads Classic-type event for smaller schools but have not found any information to confirm this. If anyone follows IU or Purdue football, this could be a nice little road trip as the Hoosiers play the Boilermakers in the bucket game on 11/30 in West Lafayette.

I hope UE will get behind the IUPUI game as a large alumni event. It would be great if we could bring 1000 locals and travels for this one. May be too much to ask with turkey day weekend, plus lots of football to watch. On the other hand, I could see doing UE-IUPUI on the 29th, then IU at Purdue in football on Sat., the 30th.

My guess is they may be waiting for the final TBD game to be finalized before it is released. Hopefully it will be an attractive home game. The schedule isn't Marty bad, but so far, we only have Murray and Ball State as attractive home non-cons.

Agree. With UK and a couple of decent Bahamas opponents, the overall sked isn't bad. I'd be impressed if the TBA game was Belmont, maybe even Lipscomb, NKU. If the TBA was SLU, Butler, or WKU, it could mean an extra 300-400 season tic sales, and a home game of that stature would make the schedule pretty special. I doubt the latter will happen, but who knows?
