Valley standings 1-10

Postby 83Ace » Wed Jan 10, 2018 9:24 pm

After tonight’s games, 5 teams are 3-2 and 3 teams are 2-3. Drake (preseason cellar pick) is 4-1 and UNI (one of the favorites) is 0-5. I’ve never seen things this wide open. And I have to say - so far it’s more fun without Wichita State.

MVC teams are like 83-13 or similar going into today's action. This is top 3 in the country in home court winning percentage. Drake held serve at home and remains unbeaten by close victory of Missouri State. Trees one big at home as well vs Redbirds. Bradley is undefeated at home this season as well. Hope the Aces can find a way to break that streak.

I have a really hard time believing that there is a worse team in the valley this year than us we just seem to have given up all together and are packing it in and that is very disheartening to see as a fan.

I, and others, on this forum believed after last season this particular team would finish last, so I am not really surprised by what has happened. I am disappointed however, especially after two strong wins against Bradley and MO State. I don't think they are giving up - just not very good.

So obviously Missouri State won't be winning the league this year. 5-4 through the first half is not the record anyone expected them to have.

I've heard a lot about parity in the MVC this year....would agree with that. Unfortunately, that parity is because we're all very ordinary, even bad. Once in a while a team shows exceptional play (like we did a couple of games here early in conference play), but most games have little offense. My ACES are impostors -they have "EVANSVILLE" on their uniforms, but sure don't seem to be playing like they even recognize it. Free falling toward the bottom in the standings is about all the movement I see in my team...sad! Hoping for SOMEONE to stop this fall and show some fight!

It is becoming more apparent preseason favorite Mo State is going to fall short of expectations, especially after blowout out loss to Bradley. Lusk likely to be fired. Totally disagree from prior post concerning Moser...Ramblers level of play has significantly risen since his arrival to the program.

After home loss to SIU Paul Lusk might start looking for a for sale sign for his house
