Re: WSU Football
Wonder if they do this if they are considering a chance in conferences? Many on their site think they are too good for the MVC.

You don't have to have football team to change
conferences, Creighton didn't.

I think the shockers better hold off on jumping
to a new conference. They have had a great run
since Baker and van fleet showed up on campus.
Look at Creighton there not setting the world on
firs since Mc Dermont left.

Yes, I know you don't have to change conferences just because you add football. But, could it be the beginning to a move? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side. No one in the MVC in basketball is really challenging them so stay put, and get your automatic bid to the NCAA.

Having a football team opens up more opportunities though. The Power 5 is not an option for them. The Big East is not either as they are comprised of private schools. Without football where is their move? A-10???? Football opens up more doors.
Re: WSU Football
Football returns to Wichita and SHOX, vacates The VALLEY.
My reaction?
It would be to not lose one bit of sleep and wish the students, athletes, staff, administration, alumni, and fan base a hardy & resounding, "Good bye and good luck".
