4th year head coach Ray Giacoletti has resigned from his post at Drake, effective immediately. Drake has been 1-7, with their lone win against D3 Simpson College. Their season included a loss to D2 Alaska-Anchorage in the Great Alaska Shootout.
Giacoletti's tenure at Drake will be remembered for having a worse record in each successive year, along with numerous player transfers, a plodding slow offense and poor defense.
Jeff Rutter, an assistant to Giacoletti, will be interim head coach.

Feel bad for their program. Great school. They have had some very competitive teams but have had a very difficult drought.
This resignation makes me wonder if one of their recruits, Tai Bibbs, will want to be released from his LOI. Aces had offered him before he decided on Drake.

My My My mini cup. Do you ever wonder if other schools say the same thing when someone signs with the Aces????
This particular young man who I referred to did indeed have 18 D-1 offers. Very talented player.
