Welcome to UE Kelvin

i liked the two videos that are on youtube, he likes to take it to the bucket and run the fast break.

will be interesting to see what position Kelvin plays, will also be good for jon hall to have another east coaster and former teammate for the next 3 yrs

I would think not. Remember, he played with John Hall when the Aces were recruiting him. He must have shown them enough to keep the interest alive. I would say he will be like Kenny Harris and play and contribute for all 3 years.

I hope this guy turns out to be a great player for us, but I don't see it. I certainly hope I am wrong, but I see this as yet another one of those players Simmons has recruited that is a complete misfit in the motion offense who ends up playing power forward or not playing at all. Not to mention the 11% three point percentage and no other D1 interest. Also, this team is already completely overloaded at this guy's positions. There is no playing time if you believe at all in the other guys he's brought in.

To me this move makes zero sense.

Again, this is all an opinion, and I hope it's a very wrong opinion. We'll see what happens once the games begin. I will certainly be pulling for him to make this post look very stupid this season.

I basically would have to agree. Kelvin was an extremely late recruit who was being recruited by no other d-1 schools and the Aces were desperately looking for the best "warm body" they could find. He is no Kenny Harris at all. Like you, Tom, I hope I am wrong. I want him to be great. If I were to make any comparisons it would that of Christian Benzon, just not as good.

Alright. We brought in a shooting guard that shoots 55% from the field, 52% from 3 land, 95% from the free throw line, averages 22 points per game, and was being recruited by several P5 schools!!!

Wait, what? None of that is true? Someone is pulling my leg. With how hard Marty and company apparently went after this guy, all of that must be true. I can't see wasting a scholly on a player shooting 35% from the field, 11% from 3 land, and 65% from the line. And just as I said in an earlier thread, another shooting guard/small forward type, since obviously Marty does not believe centers need to be on the floor, let alone on the team.

If he can set screens without picking up 2 offensive fouls a game, as an Ace he is way ahead of former Aces and current teammates.
