If he is really talented, he'll be much happier with a modern coach who permits athletes to be athletic. And if the hyper-structured antique offense better fits Jomaru's skill set I'll be happy to see him decommit.

Don’t players have to be released from their NLI to reopen their recruiting ? Just wondering.

The University never received one from Jamaru. He signed after the signing period and told the Aces would get it in March. No commitment needs no release

It’s Official. He’s signed, sealed and will be delivered in June. Ain’t nothing like having a child who can pay $50,870 a year for his own college tuition. It’s ok to hit me up if you need anything. #noproblem @Dedicated_11 https://t.co/jZKV7dyFxj

That was a tweet from Jomaru's father in November.

I think it was a "Grant In Aid" or something along those lines. I don't believe an NLI was ever signed, which meant that his options were kept open. Novakovich did sign an NLI though.

I'm not 100% on that though
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

You are correct Tom. It was “grant in aid” paperwork, not an LOI.

The big man did sign an LOI, and is willing to at least give the new coach a chance.

How about this change in NCAA rules
A kid can already get out of his loi after a coaching Chang
How about let the kid play one year for the new coach. Then if he doesn't like the coach he could transfer and NOT sit out a year. Take our situation, we could possibly have only what 6 players left after the dust settles

What Jomaru doesn't understand is that unless he was recruited to be our next guy, he'd be primarily standing at the top of the key swinging the ball left and right waiting for our guy to come off 15 ball screens. Then when that didn't work, he'd have to make something happen with 3 seconds left on the clock. Good luck Jomaru. Really was excited about his skill set.
