I would hope whoever the new coach is would reach out to both of them and explain that to them if he still thinks both of them fit into what he wants to do.
You're right though...that's what would have happened with Brown especially. A new coach (hopefully) wouldn't have him doing that, definitely a selling point! Aleks would have been under the basket setting picks, so the selling point to him would be the same thing. It's still the same school, just a different playing style (hopefully) that fits more into their strengths.
