Probably why Bobby Knight passed on him. He was far from the sharpest tool in the shed by all accounts. Alex only has one way to go compared to KP.

Really I talked to him recently and he seems to be doing all right

Love how the CP Article headline says he's 6-9 but the beginning of the second paragraph says he's 6-10. So what is it?

So the question is.Does Marty play him as a forward,or does he
play him in the post for rebounding.Either way at 6 10 and our staff
allows Alek to shoot from farther than 5 feet out he should post
as a miss match for opposing teams.

Really? The kids committed less than 24 hours ago. An ok question in March thru October next year. Not today. "Great News!" would be an appropriate post today.

There is a dictator here, and I am him. ;-)

But I agree, it is too soon to know where/how Aleks will play. In the NBA today, centers play out on the wing all the time, but I doubt that style will have tricked into the Mule by next season.

Yeah, it's little early, considering he won't be playing here for over a year, but I'll admit I thought about it too.

For those who remember Curt Begle he played the 4 and 5 position under Crews and Crews would have him step out and fire away from 3 to pull the opposing team's 5 man away from the basket. Him and Snow's shooting ability was what cleared things out for Wilson, Seitz, and Keown to go to work and was a big key to that teams success. Marty had a front row seat to watch it work so I hope he has enough sense to do the same thing.

Potentially you could have a real nice rotation of 4 guys at the 4 and 5 spots, Kuhlman and Hall at the 4 and DC and Novakovich at the 5. All of which have some different strengths which could really keep teams off balance. Definitely something we haven't had for a long time and I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.

If Kuhlman ends up being a legit outside threat for the Aces like we all believe he will, then the signing of Aleks could put the Aces in a very special position. If he (Aleks) develops the way we hope he will and can also hit an outside shot Evansville will cause some hellacious matchups for the opposition. That potentially could open things up considerably for the offense - so now lets sign a guy who slash to the rim.
