I like the kids we have gotten so far. Basically just posted so we can take him off the radar.

This one hurts...I was hoping we could get him. Would have given us a really good pure shooter, which we lack.
Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.

Our pure shooter - RT - is getting great comments on the Northwestern message board! I hope we get someone who can fill his empty shoes here! I am surprised how well known he and the Evansville program seem to be at NW....I have always thought that UE still has a "basketball" name and may not be as obscure as some may think...just give us a year or two and we can write that name, "Evansville Purple Aces" on a lot of basketball sports pages/screens and renew that fame!
Hated to see us lose Tate. He fit the mold of Leaf, Elkins, etc., although he would have had to be sensational to reach the feats of those guys. However, the deck was a bit stacked in Loyola's favor from the moment he declared his intention to transfer. Stan Gouard's family has a history playing at Loyola, and the most recent was Donte Ingram, Stan's nephew. Certainly, it was Tate's final decision, but if he leaned on Stan for advice, Loyola would have had both the final four run AND a pretty strong familiarity with the program from Gouard as things in their favor.
