KC is athletic, runs the floor good, can lead the fast break, passes and rebounds better than average and has good moves in the paint and can score the outside jumper. IMO he is a much better recruit than Aleks. Add the potential transfer from EKU who was a KY all star and I think we have the #4 spot covered. If our current team returns sans Dru and JT all the better.

I agree with other opinions on this potential recruit...all good posts. I think he is a talent.. athletic with a good quick release. To get a spring recruit like him at this point would be a big plus. It would definitely seem like a connection between he and the former EKU assistant. Hope Aces signs him.

Our guy Pat (C&P) seems to think that KC is still an option for UE.

The mailbag was a good Q & A read. Looking forward to upcoming editions.

KC would be a huge get. The versatility that a front court of DeAndre, KC and John Hall could provide is unreal. Then throw in players like Will Becker and some of the veterans like Evan and Dainius and that is a good mix of talent in the front court. Just need to make sure we get some rebounding out of this position/front court.

KC is ranked as the #33 best player in the state of North Carolina. (Jomaru Brown is ranked #32.)

KC has 20 official D1 offers to boot. I hope that he decides to get onboard.

I think KC is why we backed away from Silva, if KC does not come to Evansville we may be able to still get Silva if available, KC's stock has really risen the last 2 months. I think it came down to prioritizing the recruits with the forward/center position, Becker and KC were ahead of Silva.

I think Will Becker is why we backed away from Roman. Seems to me this staff wants guys in the 6'7-6'9 range to fill out the 4 and 5 slots who can flat up get up and down the court. Will, KC and DeAndre all fit that description. Also, looks like we want guys who can shoot and next year we could see rotations with 5 shooters at a time. If we can snag KC to go along with our new guys coming in, we could really have something once they get their feet wet. Maybe even next season.

A couple of interesting links on KC:

On April 6th, 2018: Shockers were in yesterday for 6'8 KC Hankton of Charlotte, NC.

January 18, 2018: From the Sideline: North Carolina Unsigned Seniors Part 1
    6’8 KC Hankton (United Faith)
KC Hankton is a skilled hybrid forward that can really play. The southpaw has a unique skill set for his size/position. He has a soft velvet touch and excellent body control around the rim. While he does need to add additional strength, it’s not often to find a player like Hankton that is still available with his skill set, fundaments and overall basketball IQ. He sports over 10 offers. (UTRGV, Eastern Kentucky, Hofstra, Utah State, Kent State, Winthrop, Charlotte, Southeastern Louisiana, Toledo, Hartford, Campbell, and Eastern Washington)

Note: Some of his offers since April include: Valpo, Evansville, Ole Miss and Florida Gulf Coast among others.
