TJ Washington JC 6'1'' pg
Re: TJ Washington JC 6'1'' pg
Also note UW-Milw also just got a transfer in Te'Jon Lucas from Illinois. Lucas will have to sit a year but should take over at PG the following year.

Great point guards have "motors". T J wants the ball in his hands, and he's played an uptempo style at Coffeyville. Unlike Eaves, whom I liked a lot, T J is a true PG. I see JaWaun as a combo at first; a few minutes at PG, BUT mostly a 2. We need a kid who can set the table, and he is reported to have great court vision. I hope Walt makes him a priority, and if he does, I think T J could play major minutes right away. Got a good feeling about this fit.

As far as TJ goes...watched the video highlights and there is a lot to like. Can shoot off the dribble and can handle the ball - both things are something a lot of PG's we've had could not do. The main issue I have with him are his shooting percentages - around 30% from three according to this:

Ya. that 39% JC shooting % is not something to gloat about...and against MVC defenses, he'll be tested w/ far greater intensity than JC.

Appears TJ has narrowed his decision down to Evansville, Utah Valley, and Omaha. From what I’m seeing, TJ and his mother are on campus right now for his official visit. They will be going to Utah for a visit tomorrow and Sunday.
Looks like he’ll be making a decision very soon.

We need this kid. I'm not sure why, but I think he could be the straw that stirs the drink. I've seen some other comments that imply that he was the heart and soul of the Coffeyville team this year. We'd be getting attitude, toughness, quickness, and ball handling skills. He can also score as evidenced by his double figure aver last season, but he wouldn't have as much of this load if we can sign a couple more shooters. Musing him up, Walter!

Aces have a great chance with him. Been following his tweeter account...he's been appreciating the "love" coming from the Aces' faithful.

One of the other kids visiting Utah Valley is a PG from Gilette CC in WY. T J WAS 82%' from the FT line this year. I want the ball in his hands w/ 2 min. left in the game!

All of us on this forum can help land these kids - just show them some support on Twitter, show excitement about Coach McCarty, brag about our nice Ford Center and our basketball practice facility. We have nice facilities and academics, but we now need good talent to continue to boost this program to new heights.

Completely agree. Showing support for the kids we recruit (without being obnoxious) and sharing what you feel the Aces have to offer is a positive thing. From all I can tell, the kids really like when fans are paying attention and folowing them.
