If we have offered, why are we holding it up?

I don't think we're holding it up. Just as when a job is offered the candidate must decide if it's a good fit then sign on the dotted line. The deadline for that is coming up of they haven't already signed. I suspect some have signed, if not all of them. Someone had stated that the university may have instructed them not to post on social media. There will likely be a mass announcement like the women's team signees.

From an article:

"His playing style is going to be great for me. But I have other schools I have to look at as well. I'm not sure yet. Hopefully it's down to three great schools (FGCU, Evansville, New Mexico State) ."

After reading the article, I'd say that Berrick has a better chance of getting significant minutes at UE, than he will at FGCU, IMHO. I think he'd be a star in Walter's system. Plus, the MVC is a much better conference top to bottom. Better exposure and Walter's NBA connections can't hurt, either.

That quote was about Florida Gulf Coast - I guess he likes the Dunk City style that they have run under Andy Enfield and their current coach.

I think Walter will bring that too. I hope the kid sees the vision, the toughness the MVC brings, and the ability for his family and friends to watch via the Valley ESPN contract.

I was,and still hoping we can land this kid.I thought with Graves signing
him at South Alabama that we would be the leading school. But its obvious
hes looking elsewhere.

I am glad we are still in the running for Berrick. What an addition he would be...this is a guy who could actually put fans in the seats. My gut feeling is he is leaning towards FGC, but hopefully Coach McCarty can pull this off.

Aces fans may want to send him a little encouragement.

You figure UE would be in the lead, since Coach Graves got him to sign at the other school.Unless he wants to stay in area where it's warmer

I would love to have Jeanlouis, but I'm a little worried. We do have Graves on our side, and that might very well be enough. However, FGCU is much closer to home, and NMSU is higher profile. I think he would be a big get, all things considered.

Visits New Mexico St. this week.
