Re: MBB Early Signing period
We know that Elijah Height is the primary recruiting target with the show of support given when the offer was made. However, there has been silence on Elijah’s end on his recruitment since then. With his size and potential I’m sure he’s waiting on schools with higher profiles before making a commitment.
The others on your list are all strong candidates who will draw national recruiting interest. There are several others who have been offered by UE not on your list that would be great additions to the current team but as we go up in talent the competition with other schools gets tougher.
We are entering the time when commitments begin as some big names have already dropped. In my opinion this signing period will be the most important to Coach McCarty as it will set the direction of the program. I will feel much better when I see the first commitment for November. We need at least one powerhouse recruit to go with the field of strong athletes already offered.

Re: MBB Early Signing period
To me top priority has to be a Point Guard. After that, he can be pretty selective if the guys we have now pan out. On the current and future rosters I only see one guy who looks to be a natural PG, Givance.

No question a point guard will be recruited by Coach McCarty but Aces need a skilled center equally as much.

Michael Moreno also holds an offer from HCWM.

Re: MBB Early Signing period
The way I count it there are 3 scholarships that can be used this November. That would give the Aces a full roster @ the 21 of November barring any defections or/and walk-ons. Does HC McCarty overload commitments and/or seal his fate early for the 2019-20 roster??

Re: MBB Early Signing period
So we have 2 seniors scholarship wise players on the team.1 guard, 1 center.correct.So the way I see it Walter will go after the kids that we need help at position wise. If we need a center he will go after a center if he believed the forwards we have are not going to cut it he will go after some forwards or if he believes we need guard help he will go and try to sign a couple guards.
We have 3 seniors,I forgot about Shea

Re: MBB Early Signing period
Walt's been pretty frugal with offers so far. IMHO, he's tried to focus first on guys he'd have regardless of timing. He knows priorities, and he will also know whether he needs to upgrade any of the current roster. Obviously, other teams do this all the time, and with the preponderance of transfers, you cannot be content with just filling the open schollys, but must overbook by one or two. It's just a fact that kids are going to move from team to team more often in the future. Playing time, relationship with coaches, etc. all factors in, so despite wanting to keep a team together, the staff cannot fully count on ten returning.
Look at Mo. St. Look at St. Louis. Both have almost total remakes of their rosters, and mostly for what seems to be a big upgrade in talent. NCAA D1 Recruiting is not for the faint of heart.
