Re: Recruiting
Seven minutes ago he tweeted commit to Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia.
Re: Recruiting
You all know what has to happen to get these players to want to come here. We have to win and be relevant. New coach was a first step in the right direction. Now to prepare for the season. I believe for the most part that we are done, unless a freak player comes up at the last minute.
Truth is, for the time frame he had, and the number of openings we had, coach actually did a great job recruiting this year, filling 5 of 7 open schollys.

Can't disagree at all. Only 70 some odd days till college basketball season starts. #AcesAces

Re: Recruiting
Disappointed, yes. Tory I think would have meant some more wins for the Aces this year. But on the upside Coach McCarty will have another open scholarship to offer.
Re: Recruiting
Definitely would’ve liked to have him. But I’m also okay with giving this class every minute of PT they can handle as freshmen.
Next year could be ugly. But if Walt backs this group up with a couple more Deandres, the 2020s will be really, really fun.

Re: Recruiting
Not sure I understand the logic in this statement. We lose 3. 9 returning and 3 potentially better recruits. How is that a recipie for “ ugly” .
I respectfully completely disagree .

Re: Recruiting
I think fg4ster means this year may be ugly and I can agree. The loss of Hurley is going to be a killer. But we gotta hope the next recruiting class is another step up in talent because the coaches will have 5 scholarships to fill.
Re: Recruiting
This coming year may not be as good as we would have liked it, but I don't think it is going to be ugly. We have 5 pretty good recruits, and the six we have coming back are going to be better with the up style of play.
Re: Recruiting
Agree with ace card. We are under promising, but I think we'll be an overachiever in the MVC. I have tremendous respect for the SIX who decided to return. The 5 recruits are high quality kids who have a lot of grit, talent, and heart. I wish we had just one more kid, but only because injuries are a part of life in D1. EVERY recruit adds value. Game situations will provide them with opportunities for minutes. I like the IQ of our bench coaches, and this experience alone will steal a couple of wins. Get the UE student body to Ford, and we add another couple of wins. GO ACES!!
Re: Recruiting
I would love to hear that an oversea recruit is on his way to Evansville perhaps an Giddy or a Chat...I know nothing but never forget how hard a foreign student have it getting Visas and other arrangement. Perhaps an Aussie..
