Auburn University is in the Maui Invitational. Perhaps Bruce Pearl will return to Evansville in November

Not likely as the Maui Invitational teams (Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Ilinois, Iowa State, San Diego State, Xavier) tend to host the Maui Mainland teams (Evansville, Chaminade, UNC Asheville, ? ).

Any news on the Maui mainland tourney we are set to host? I haven't seen confirmation about UNCA yet, and I hope we can get a legit D1 school be the 4th. Last year's 4 team mainland was a last minute hodgepodge at Wofford, and we already have one D2 school in Chaminade. Maybe Pat hickey has heard something. Thanks.

Was hoping for something a little more. Would have been nice to get Eastern Illinois, Bellmont, Tn-Martin, SEMO, etc. An OVC team, division 1, would have been perfect. I just hate us playing D3 teams. I would also been happy if it was USI. Maybe in future seasons we could play them again.

D3's don't usually add value, but we may have been late to the scheduling party this year. Yes, SEMO, SIUE, Bellarmine, KWC!(to stoke the campaign to make the Aces better followed in the TRI-State); any of these would have been better. There must have been a staff connection between someone at UE and Albion. At the same time,,let's view this D3 game as an opportunity to promote the team to kids. Call it the "kids classic" and sell tics to kids under 16 for $3. Fill up the Ford to expose our youth to Purple Reign!

I like the idea, reduced price seating, pack the place. Maybe that could give a few more people the purple fever, and they would come back......and hopefully cheer and bring in some young enthusiasm.

As a 42 year season ticket holder I have been happy with the way everything has been going until this Albion game USI KWC either one would have jumped at the opportunity to play and would have brought in a much larger crowd makes no sense to play Albion instead of one of them
