Postby GoAcesgo » Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:10 am

I poster on MVC.com said he heard through the grapevine that DeAndre Williams will have to sit out a year.....just wondering, I haven't heard anything, hope for sure it is a false rumor.

Probably a good question for Pat Hickey to track down.

This would be a devastating blow. But during HS it was said he didn't have the best grades.. So I guess it won't be a surprise.

This would really hurt if true...

I saw that post 2 days ago. I should have called the Athletic office then. If true, it won't make any difference when they start the games this year. It won't be pretty. I will call Monday morning. They might not give me an answer depending on the circumstances, but if they don't, we probably can expect the worst.

A member of the athletic dept staff told me that DeAndre will have to sit/only have 3 years of eligibility. It was a couple of months back so I can’t remember any specifics.

This is unbelievable. Why haven't we heard anything about this before now? And we had to learn of it originally from a Bradley fan.

This is from Courier press April 14 when they announced him and Hurley.

Williams, a 6-9 forward, signs after attending Nation Wide Academy in Oklahoma City and will have all four years of eligibility. He averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds at NWA

Don't know who started this rumor but he has 4 years of eligibility and will play this year.
