Agreed. If we could get Michael Moreno and another big post guy (6'9 or taller), then that would be ideal in my opinion!

Nice article by Pat Hickey regarding Marcus Henderson!

I'm hoping the Aces have a great game vs. Mo. State tonight! It will be interesting to see if we sustain that fighting attitude we showed vs. SIU in the last game.

I agree Aces need a big (Dixon), but Sean can fill it up. There will be a lot of attention on Sam C and Deandre next season....people like Sean could make them pay.

McNeil can shoot against the competition that he faces today. Whether he can perform at the D1 level is another question. How good is he as a defender? I'm not challenging his skills, I am just asking. Frankly, I am happy with Henderson. He brings the complete package, and he LEADS, without having to shoot all the time. As noted, he is capable of making the big shots when they count, for an academy team that produces 3-4 D1 players every year.

I think having Henderson, along with minutes from Givance next year, will give us more offensive options. The transfers, plus a couple of PF/bigs like Moreno and Dixon would pretty much round out the roster. We'll still have KJ to provide some versatility, as well as Hall for the boards.

If we were not successful in signing a couple of bigs, who fit Walt's system, I might consider McNeil, but otherwise, he's a provisional recruit, IMHO.

I am very high on Henderson as well. But no one can argue the attention that McNeil is getting. We can always ask the question of how well can they measure up to D-1 competition. Obviously teams like Dayton and West Virginia think so. To me that speaks volumes.

My guess is that some player or players will transfer after this year....I would be shocked if that would not happen. Walter will have an additional scholarship to work with.

I am still pulling hard for Demontay Dixon.

I would rather we as fans not toss around the players names like that. But no question there will be some players who are now playing whose court time could very well dwindle.

For sure the playing time landscape will change. To some players this is why they put in all the work but to some others perhaps getting a great education, being part of a great team and seeing the court here and there as a role player is enough. I guess we will see. Let's just hope when a decision is made to redshirt a player they keep them in street clothes and don't blow a year for a player over 40 seconds of playing time. This still makes me want to puke !

It was announced today that McNeil received offers from Providence and TCU. He’s a qualifier with 3 years of eligibility. Apparently some big programs think he can play at the D-1 level. He might just be the outside shooter Evansville needs.

I think we need a player like this, my opinion but I think this season has shown us we need more shooters. The guys coming in will help, but I still think we need more shooting with the amount of perimeter shots we take.

Assuming no one leaves (which I think will be the case) the other spot needs to be a big guy. Someone who can be an impact on both ends, which is a tall order (no pun intended).

Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!
