This weekend's game should always draw well.
If I recall, a few years ago, when I was up here.
Terre Haute or could have even been UE?.....There was a promotional campaign, "The Battle of 41", or some similar wording.
I believe there was also a billboard somewhere in Evansville or perhaps further up North on 41.
Thought that was a good idea, to garner some additional interest for the intra-state rivalry.
I'll sit up top.

Saturday is going to be one lousy day, weather wise, that won't help the attendance. Doubt that there will be many Trees fans there, as they seem to be down on their team, and with good cause. We have played well at home, and no reason to expect any other type of effort Saturday. They just can't walk out on the floor, and think they have the game won.

Weather will be worse up towards Terre Hottie. So I agree, probably not a lot of Sycs fans coming down, even if they are still engaged.

Weather here probably won't be too bad. Should be above freezing at game time with some cold rain. Unless our county highway department is unknowingly part of the government shut down, roads should be OK.

Sounds like it will be the largest home crowd so far. As of 5:31 PM, UE Athletics announced it's down to only 212 more seats that need to be sold to #MoveTheCurtain! It would be great to see all of the lower bowl seats actually full. Even Coach McCarty put out a video encouraging fans to Move the Curtain. Does anyone know how many seats are in the lower bowl? Asking for a friend.

Think its 7,300 or 7,500 somewhere in that area.

The unfortunate fact is the weather is going to scare fans from both TH and Evv to not show up unless there is a change before Saturday morning. Hope it warms up sooner and starts to melt off..otherwise we will not get to the 7,000. Too bad.

The weather shouldn't be that much of a factor considering that it's supposed to be too warm at 6:00 AM for it to snow. People to need to not be wimps...in the past there were games with a couple inches of snow on the ground with 8,000 people in the stands. It's amazing how soft the world has become....

(this is not meant as a shot at anyone in particular - I just hate seeing people be weenies about the weather)
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

If tomorrow was a work day they would be there. If it were a night game maybe some of those traveling long distances might pass but I believe most will show.
