3 game series. Lost at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette to #22 Purdue 82-62 on 12/27/2003. Lost at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis 62-61 on 12/18/2004. Won at Roberts Stadium 75-69 on 12/03/2005. Matt Painter was the losing coach. Purdue had only 7 scholarship players that season having lost 2 starters to injury.

Ummm, apparently we aren’t.

Ummm, we were probably told early on that he had no interest in playing in Evansville. However our coaches could still be in contact with Khristian.

He put a picture on his Instagram thanking Walter for a scholarship offer a few weeks ago. I bet they're in contact

Verbalcommits lists him as a 2 star prospect. Maybe he will fly under the radar. :)

I was at the Purdue win at Roberts but I thought that was in the late 70’s with the Ritchie Johnson teams. I most likely wasn’t even in town in 2005.

Great memory. Aces beat Purdue at Roberts Stadium 80-65 on 12/19/83.

Arguably the best Aces win I saw since I don’t really remember the D2 championships. I vaguely remember abuse and Welmer in the early 70’s.

Here is a podcast from a year ago with Ritchie Johnson reminiscing: https://player.fm/series/keeping-the-nostalgia-alive-show-2380111/an-interview-with-richie-johnson-ace-bulldog-and-indiana-all-star

Thanks for the Richie Johnson podcast link. Spoke well of his time here. Theren Bullock and Brad Leaf were the leaders who showed him the college ropes.

Full schedule announced - seems like more weekend games than last year - definitely a good thing (5 vs 4).

https://gopurpleaces.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball
8-19 .....1986
16-12 ....1987 --- MCC Champ
21-8 .....1988 --- NIT
25-6 .....1989 --- NCAA
Key point, be patient, never judge a coach on Year 1!

I like the idea of going on the road to the predetermine conference favourite out of the chute. The Bears are ranked #55 according to CBB Central.

I believe the first 3 away conference games will be the tale of the season
Bradley was picked by CBB Central @#90. This game will be a great challenge @home.
My thoughts are this schedule will give the Aces the path to be successful !

Those games will definitely be tough tests for sure, but I don't give a crap about what the pundits say. None of them are giving us any respect
